Now that the dust has settled between the entertainment company, Skales and his former manager Osagie Osarenkhoe, it appears the emerging music star is on to the next phase of his career.

In view of this, the Ijo Ayo singer has gotten into a new management deal with Upfront and Personal under the aegis of Paul Okoye. Recall that on May 31, 2016, Skales and popular talent manager Osagie Osarenkhoe made the news after they were both accused of allegedly defrauding Baseline Records to the tune of 13 million Naira in several shady practices involving performance fees, an endorsement deal other related ventures.

Insiders say the rapper and pop singer alongside his manager Osagie spent the night of May 31 in a police cell despite several denials from other sources including Osagie herself who doused the report via a tweet.

Whatever the case, Osagie has continued to clear herself of all accusations relating to defrauding the entertainment company as widely alleged. According to the talent manager, all she and Skales did was move on independently after the label stopped playing its role as due in 2015. Upfront and Personal, the new management and consulting firm in charge of Skales, is the agency currently responsible for the likes of Wande Coal, Cobhams Asuquo, Davido, Wizkid and Seyi Shay and their massive successes are a testament to the firm’s reach, acclaim and corporate industry affiliations. Industry watchers say Paul Okoye, the agency head, has strong links with music licensing companies as well as corporate clients like Pepsi, Konga and MTN among others. With the new partnership deal, Skales continues as a Baseline artiste although now managed by Upfront & Personal while Osagie has been instructed to resign her duties as his manager as well as refund a sum of money which was allegedly diverted into her personal accounts all along.
