DJ Khaled Releases JAY Z and Future-assisted “I Got The Keys”

DJ Khaled didn’t expect the news to get out about his collaboration with Future and Jay Z. But once word spread, the Miami-based hit maker didn’t waste any opportunities to tease it. Titled “I Got the Keys,” the song immediately became one of the year’s most anticipated collaborations.

DJ Khaled finally debuted the single last night on Apple Music, and it’s already living up to the hype. On “I Got the Keys,” Jay Z delivers another memorable guest appearance. In two verses, he addresses Drake’s “Summer Sixteen” line, his drug-dealing past, and “Big Pimpin’s” lawsuit. Capitalizing off the hype, Khaled unveiled the star-studded video on TIDAL. Shot in New York, the black-and-white visual brings together some of the industry’s biggest heavy hitters, and also a rising crooner. Future, T.I., Busta Rhymes, ASAP Ferg, Rick Ross, Fabolous, 2 Chainz, Swizz Beatz, Pusha T, Bryson Tiller, and others make cameos in “I Got the Keys.”

Khaled tweeted out a photo from the song’s video shoot earlier this month. “A few good men. That’s what this picture represents to me,” he captioned a photo that included Jay Z and Future. “It’s the culture in all its excellence. It’s a rare glimpse of the icon Jay Z on a video set, so you know it’s special cloth alert on another level. We put something very special together for you the fans. Let me put it this way, I GOT THE 🔑.”

This is the second single off of DJ Khaled’s upcoming LP, Major Key, which is due out on July 29. Watch DJ Khaled’s cinematic visual for “I Got the Keys” on TIDAL right now.
