Kendrick Lamar Seemingly Disses Big Sean in Previously Unreleased Snippet

By | On April 09, 2019

A snippet of an unreleased Kendrick Lamar record made its way online at the start of the week, leading to heavy speculation that he's dissing Big Sean on the track.

While he doesn't call out Big Sean by name, the lyrics seem to point to Kendrick's Detroit adversary, rapping,

"I think his false confidence got him inspired/I can't make them respect you, baby. It's not my job. You 'Finally Famous' for who you date, not how you rhyme/cute ass bars get your subliminals up."

The beef between the two rappers is said to be centered around Kendrick's "Control" verse and Big Sean leaving the song off of his Hall of Fame project despite being featured on the track. He later addressed the situation, telling Complex, "There’s a lot of negativity on that song, and I don’t f*** with negative s***. People love drama, people love bulls***. I knew when Kendrick did that name-dropping that it was just gonna set it off, and I could see why people gravitated towards that verse for that reason."
