The window officially opened last month after the completion of the delayed 2019-2020 Premier League season. Premier League clubs will now be busy tweaking their squads ahead of the new campaign, with the window scheduled to close on October 5.

Chelsea have already brought in the likes of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, and are now targeting Kai Havertz. Manchester City have brought in Nathan Ake and Ferran Torres, while champions Liverpool have signed Greek left back Kostas Tsimikas and are targetting Watford's Ismaila Sarr . Manchester United continue to work on a deal for Jadon Sancho - a saga which looks set to run and run.

Arsenal and Tottenham can now offer European football to their targets, with Willian having completed his medical ahead of a free transfer to Arsenal, while Tottenham have completed a deal for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Diawara on Arsenal's radar

Arsenal are interested in Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara, according to the Telegraph.

The report claims Roma are reluctant to sell and are in a strong position with the 23-year-old still having four years left on his contract.

Manchester United's top target Jadon Sancho has accepted he will not be moving to Old Trafford this summer, according to The Times.

Watford to appoint new manager

Watford are hoping to appoint Vladimir Ivic as their new head coach before they begin pre-season next week.

The club have been on the hunt for a new boss after sacking Nigel Pearson before the final two games of the Premier League season.

West Ham set for transfer budget boost

West Ham are set to boost their transfer funds by selling Albian Ajeti to Celtic for £5million.

Scottish champions Celtic originally wanted to take Ajeti on loan with an option to make the move permanent next summer.

Charlton make signing despite transfer ban

Lee Bowyer says he is “over the moon” to wrap up the signing of Alex Gilbey after the EFL approved the deal despite Charlton being under a transfer embargo.

Midfielder Gilbey, 25, has joined Charlton from MK Dons on a three-year deal. Charlton have been under a transfer embargo since January but they got the Gilbey deal ratified on Wednesday following talks with the EFL.
